  • Product Description

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode is a rod-shaped welding electrode made of high-purity copper and an appropriate amount of phosphorus alloy. The surface is precisely machined. Its main components are copper, usually between 75.5% and 93%, and phosphorus content between 5% and 7%. Some models contain silver (Ag) to enhance performance. This chemical ratio enables it to exhibit excellent melting characteristics and joint strength during welding.

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode Features

Reliable

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode is known for its reliable welding performance. Its solidus temperature ranges from 645°C to 1310°C and its liquidus temperature ranges from 645°C to 1460°C, ensuring stable melting under a variety of working conditions. BCuP-2 alloy provides consistent filling effect when liquefied at 710°C, reducing welding defects. Reliability is also reflected in its low impurity content (less than 1% of other elements), avoiding the generation of pores and cracks, and the joint strength can reach more than 85% of the parent material. Especially in long-term high-load use, the reliability significantly reduces the failure rate, attracting overseas buyers with high product quality requirements, especially suitable for the power and heavy industry fields.

High efficiency

The efficiency characteristics of this product make it outstanding in welding operations. Its low melting point (BCuP-6 starts to melt at 645°C) allows rapid heating and melting, significantly shortening the welding time. BCuP-3 can be quickly liquefied in the temperature range of 645°C to 1325°C, suitable for mass production needs. High efficiency is also reflected in its excellent fluidity. The molten metal can evenly fill complex joints and reduce the workload of secondary repairs.

Heat resistance

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode is known for its excellent heat resistance. The rod can maintain structural stability at liquidus temperatures up to 1460°C, and BCuP-4 can still provide a strong joint at 1275°C. Heat resistance is also reflected in its resistance to high-temperature oxidation and thermal fatigue. The joint is not easy to crack after repeated heating and cooling, and the service life can reach thousands of cycles. The addition of silver content (BCuP-6 contains 2% Ag) further improves the deformation resistance at high temperatures, which is particularly suitable for industries that require high temperature resistance.

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode Application

Wind power generation

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode performs well in the welding of copper components of wind power generation equipment. The solidus of 710°C and the liquidus of 795°C match the thermal characteristics of copper conductors, and the joints have strong wind load resistance. Vestas uses this product in its turbine production to ensure the stability of the equipment in bad weather, and it is widely used in European renewable energy projects.

Mining machinery

In the welding of copper connectors of mining machinery, Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode is highly favored for its heat resistance and reliability. BCuP-5 provides high-strength joints when liquefied at 1300°C. Caterpillar uses this material in its mining equipment to ensure the durability of components in high temperature and high dust environments, which is particularly popular in the Australian mining market.

Shipbuilding

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode is widely used in copper pipe welding in the shipbuilding industry, with outstanding efficiency and heat resistance. BCuP-4 has excellent corrosion resistance when melting at 1275°C. Hyundai Heavy Industries uses this product in its shipbuilding to ensure long-term reliability of the pipeline system, especially for the Asian shipbuilding market.

Railway Vehicles

Copper-phosphorus Welding Electrode performs well in copper electrical connection welding for railway vehicles, and its reliability and heat resistance meet high safety standards. BCuP-6 has excellent vibration resistance when melting at 645°C. Alstom uses this material in its train manufacturing to ensure the stable operation of the electrical system, especially favored by the North American railway industry.
